The Garden House Revamp

Hill & Hill Design Deliver Garden House Revamp

We were recently asked by our brother for help freshen up one of his rather dated care homes in Grimsby. At the time the occupancy was quite low and the CQC inspectors were giving him a particularly hard time.

With determination not to close the doors Peter decided to start a program of refurbishments with a view to attracting more residents and satisfying the long list of requirements from the inspector.

Peter and his manager browsed our selection of care home furniture and chose vinyl Thorpe care home wing chairs for the lounge and conservatory; having vinyl underneath the cushions made for easy maintenance for the staff. Fresh apple green inherently FR roller blinds cheered up the conservatory with coordinating scatter cushions to complete the look.

We transformed the previously drab peach coloured dining room by adding new curtains and solid pelmets to revitalise the entire area.

The bedrooms were fitted with solid oak care home furniture, crisp bed linen and coordinating quilted bed runners.

Solid pelmets and full length curtains in the lounge looked fabulous against the huge old windows and the addition of plaid throws and coordinating scatter cushions made the room much more inviting.

Tackling these three rooms first has freshened up the whole place and we are now looking forward to finishing off the rest of the home.
