Carers Week

Here in the UK this week is Carers Week, 7th – 13th June. This week was set up to help raise awareness for carers who are unpaid. These carers are usually the family and loved ones of the individual and sadly fall through the net where carers allowance is considered.

Celebrating Carers

Over the last 18 months, carers have been working throughout the pandemic, taking care of the worlds most vulnerable. In carers week 2021 it is vital that we recognise all the hard work and sacrifices that they have had to make in order to keep our loved ones safe.
For those unpaid carers, that includes sacrificing much of their free time to isolating with the individual they are caring for to enable them to remain safe. Potentially even sacrificing any paid work they do have.
