Summer Memories 2021

2020, unfortunately, saw many of us in Lockdown, and our loved ones in care homes where we could not visit them. Hopefully, as lockdowns begin to ease and more and more of the UK are being vaccinated we can start to make new summer memories with our loved ones.

Summer 2021

This year we hope to see more of our loved ones, even if this happens to be in the gardens outside of their care homes. This can be a great time to form more memories that can live with us for many years to come. Having had such a difficult year in 2020, we can all look forward to sitting together on a comfortable wing armchair, covered in Panaz ShieldPlus fabric and sharing memories both old and new.

Positive Moods

While your residents are in a care home, with any number of other people, and interact with carers throughout the day, not being able to see their families can impact on their overall mood and make them feel a little lonely. Finally being able to have contact with their loved ones will help to increase their positivity and in turn, help to improve minor health worries associated with stress.
While your residents are riding on this good mood, why not look to include some positive energy in your care home through the use of bright colours and vibrant patterns. Bright colours have been shown to be the best for dementia patients, but they can also help to boost the mood of others around the care home (and maybe even the staff!).

Summer Snoozing

When it comes to the end of a long day making fresh summer memories, either with loved ones or with others in the care home, your residents will need a comfortable place to lay their heads. A good night’s sleep is how we embed our new memories into our brains, and while some of your residents may not retain as much of the day’s activity as others, a safe comfortable bedroom can surely help.
Our bedroom furniture ranges have been designed to ensure not only the safety of your residents but also to add a spot of style to their own personal space. After all, this is now their home. You can also check out our dementia range, designed to help those who are living with dementia.
